Transforming Dogs into Life-Changing Partners
At Canine Evolutions, we do more than train dogs — we cultivate lifelong partnerships built on trust, science, and mutual respect. Our service dogs aren’t taught to be passive tools. Instead, they become reliable, attuned collaborators who understand and support your unique needs — in ways that go far beyond the ordinary.
With over 30 years of experience in neuroscience-informed, relationship-driven training, Cynologist Bart de Gols and his team guide dogs to be emotionally balanced, cognitively sharp, and deeply bonded to you — so they respond with presence, adaptability, and care.
Why Our Philosophy Matters
1. The Brain–Body Connection Is Central
We don’t just shape behaviors — we understand the biology behind them. Drawing upon learning theory, memory science, and canine neuroscience, we train in ways that engage instinct, cognition, and emotional regulation. The result: a dog that is not just obedient, but resilient — one that maintains calm and clarity even in chaos.
2. Relationship Over Command
We teach from connection, not compulsion. Dogs trained with us don’t “perform” for rewards; they choose to work with you because they trust you. This bond fosters reliability under pressure, reduces stress, and improves long-term engagement.
3. Tasks Tailored to You
No two lives are the same, and no one-size-fits-all training suffices. We don’t hand out generic task lists — we design precise, relevant behaviors for your challenges: whether that’s alerting to medical shifts, grounding during psychiatric episodes, mobility support, or managing rare conditions like hyperphagia in Prader–Willi syndrome.
4. You as the Key Partner
Training doesn’t end when your dog walks out the door. We teach you how to read your dog’s cues, maintain skills, and deepen your partnership over the years. In our programs, you are never a passive recipient — you are a co-driver of success.
What We Offer
We provide fully customized service dog training programs in these core areas:
PTSD & Psychiatric Service Dogs — For grounding, interruption, and emotional support
Medical Alert Dogs — For detecting changes in blood sugar, seizures, cardiac events, and more
Mobility & Stability Dogs — For balance, bracing, retrieval, door work, and safe movement
Specialized & Rare Disorder Dogs — For custom tasks like hyperphagia management in Prader–Willi syndrome, autism support, and other complex needs
Each program is built from scratch around your condition, your environment, and your daily life.
The Investment in Your Future
Exceptional service dog training is not a commodity — it’s a transformational investment. Our programs typically range from $30,000 to $60,000+, based on the complexity of tasks, the starting level of the dog, and the depth of customization. Because these dogs support diagnosed disabilities, many of the related costs are tax-deductible under IRS Publication 502. However, we always recommend consulting your tax professional for specifics.
How to Begin
Your journey toward partnership begins with a free, no-pressure evaluation (in person or virtual). During this appointment we:
Explore your goals, daily challenges, and environment
Assess your current dog (or help you select a candidate)
Design a personalized plan, timeline, and task set
From there, we move into training, public access proofing, and finally, handler transfer — ensuring you and your dog can succeed together for life.
